Congratulations to Freeman Fisher’s Corporate team for their involvement in a deal which today was shortlisted in the Business Desk’s North West Rainmaker Awards 2019 in the following category “Private Company Deal of the Year 2019”.

Freeman Fisher acted for the sellers of Digital ID alongside corporate finance advisors Convex Capital.

Upon its sale Digital ID was the UK’s largest ID company, helping businesses secure photo ID card printing and access control requirements.

Speaking at the time of the deal, Jonathan Fell, Managing Director of Digital ID, said, “The opportunity to join forces with AlphaCard Systems, was an opportunity we couldn’t turn down…this acquisition will enable us to rapidly evolve our growth strategy and the partnership will see us create around 40 new jobs, taking the business from 60 employees to 100 strong over the next three years”.

Gary Black, head of Corporate at Freeman Fisher, who led the deal in conjunction with Neil Worsley of Convex Capital, commented, “it is fantastic to play such an intrinsic role in the growth of so many fantastic UK businesses and it is particularly rewarding to see this deal acknowledged in this year’s North West Rainmaker Awards”.
