As a newbie to Manchester I really wanted to get involved in an organisation that would help me meet new people, build my network, support the community and develop my leadership skills and JCI Manchester ticked all of the boxes.
JCI is a volunteer-led not for profit organisation run by its members, for its members. With various chambers (local and global) each chamber delivers their own set of networking events, development seminars and social and charity events. JCI Manchester’s focus this year is on the #Better Me, Better We project, sponsored by Freeman Fisher, which aims to help our members better themselves from a personal perspective, so that they can contribute more in their professional capacity too.
As Charity Director I have been tasked with six events over the year that are all geared around raising both awareness and funds respectively. We’ve already got some fantastic events planned this year, including our crazy networking event at Junkyard Golf, our breakfast briefings and our public speaking academy, so make sure you don’t miss out!
